THE LOVE WINS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

The mission of Love Wins Productions, Distribution, and Film Festival is to create awareness for subjects deserving special attention. We support Women's Empowerment, LGBTQIA, and Diversity and Inclusion messages. We connect with artists who dream of sharing a message that the commercial film market might have overlooked and we align with projects that might gain support and an audience from our non-profit advocacy partners. This memorable event creates awareness for heart centered, message driven films. Below is the schedule of for the day.

The Love Wins International Film Festival was made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.


THE LAST BULLET

AIKANE
(Short Film)

A valiant island warrior, wounded in battle against foreign invaders, falls into a mysterious underwater world. When the octopus who rescued him transforms into a handsome young man, they become aikāne, bound by love and trust, and an epic adventure begins.

SHIRTTUGGER

After another nocturnal binge, Max spends the following day dodging “food noise” whilst keeping his dark secret from his boyfriend.

BLACKBIRD
(Short Film)

Alma, a young black teenager recovering from Bulemia meets Noa, new roommate at an eating disorder treatment center. Seemingly, the two could not be more different, yet they will soon find they have more in common than they realize.

BLUE SQUARE HEART

A drag queen is forced to reconsider his shockingly violent art when his estranged, conservative mother makes a surprise appearance at his show in an attempt to reconnect.

IVY GRACE

A Christian, Republican woman from South Carolina makes a challenging decision following a hypoplastic left heart syndrome diagnosis in a post-Roe v. Wade world.

A CERTAIN NIGHT

After being out of town for a while, Russell comes back home to the life he left behind. Facing his ex-boyfriend Aaron, and confronting the only family he knows, his brother Robert, who is against his sexuality.

HEDGEHOG

STRONG YAQUI WOMEN

A mother recalls stories from her youth about her indigenous lineage and sets off on a journey to understand her place in a long line of resilient Yaqui Warriors.

DADDY’S EYES

In this haunting tale of hope and despair, a mother and her daughter, separated for over twenty years by race, fame, and heroin addiction, struggle to find each other before it’s too late. This modern Greek tragedy examines the sacrifices that must be made to make it to the top of the music world.

Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, Ativan — all belong to a class of drugs known as benzodiazepines (benzos). News and entertainment media portray them in terms of addiction and abuse or as innocuous medications that relax nerves. This documents a strikingly different narrative, following eye-opening stories of invisible illness and disability.

We value their work in creating awareness for subjects deserving attention alongside collaborations with National Organizations. Does your Film help create awareness for subjects deserving attention or are you a unique Filmmaker that deserves the spotlight? Our focus is to support and help advance Filmmakers careers. We have partnered with streaming Distribution companies and our awards will include streaming Distribution options and Marketing for the winning Films. Equally as important as connecting with industry and moving your project forward we will move the winning Films into consideration with partner Festivals that have live screening events that takes place in New York and Los Angeles and the focus is to help secure four wall Distribution for the winning Feature Film. The team behind the festival has a wide range of professional experience which includes every facet of Entertainment. Building an egoless environment with heart centered visions for human rights, LGBTQ, diversity and inclusion, women's empowerment is our mission. Making this not only a memorable event but an important gathering where each artist’s voice is heard through their choice of expression. We celebrate and support Independent, new, and Alternative filmmakers, not just during our online competition but throughout the year through Production support, streaming Distribution relationships and marketing.
