2026 OSCAR NOMINATED SHORT FILMS

The 98th Oscar® Nominated Shorts, presented by acclaimed filmmaker, writer, and actor Taika Waititi, will be released in theaters on February 20, 2026. This year’s program features three feature-length theatrical presentations, one for each Academy Award® Short Film category—Animated, Documentary, and Live Action—showcasing outstanding short films from around the world. Oscar® Nominated Shorts Program offers audiences a rare opportunity to experience these celebrated works on the big screen ahead of the Oscars®.

The Plaza Cinema & Media Arts Center is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3), community supported organization. This means there are no shareholders and that all monies are used to fund operations, programming and capital campaigns. The Plaza depends on donations and grants from local, federal and state governments, as well as from individual donors, foundations, and corporations.
