The Plaza Cinema & Media Arts Center's Independent Animation Summer Camp is designed to help students become one-artist animation studios over an art-filled week this July & August. Students will draft ideas, write stories, make sound effects, and create music for animation.

In an open studio environment, students will be exposed to the fundamentals of animation. Students will be able to complete projects in a range of styles; including traditional, digital, and stop motion animation. We encourage students to bring in projects they are currently working on. Each student will receive individual attention in addition to regular class lectures.

Classes are taught by an experienced animator and instructor. Materials will be provided. However, feel free to bring your own equipment (iPad, drawing materials, laptop) if that is more comfortable.

PLEASE NOTE: Registration ends on 7/8 for session one and 8/5 for session two.
